My story

Caroline Rocha

■ Engineer × Nutrition
Caroline Rocha
01 · The beginning

A goal since I was 16.

I started engineering at 16, with one goal: to have my own business one day. At 17 I was already an intern at the largest flexible packaging multinational in Latin America, where I stayed for five years.

02 · Australia

Four months that became seven years.

In 2019, I moved to Australia to study English for four months. Those four months became seven years.

It was my first hard decision: leaving everything I had built to live something completely new, in another country. I never imagined I would stay for seven years, or that I would build a life here.

In those years I did a bit of everything, still without deciding to stay. I studied Project Management and realised I wanted to live here for good. That's when, in 2021, I started thinking about working in my field again, as an engineer.

03 · Volvo

My impossible, happening.

In January 2022, I was hired as a Production Engineer at Volvo. At that moment, it was my impossible happening.

Then the opportunities came. I was promoted to Senior Engineer at the truck factory in Brisbane, responsible for the production line: new processes and optimisation. I had the opportunity to go to Volvo in Sweden to lead a project, saw the development of electric trucks up close, won an international award for best project in Performance and led countless projects. Thanks to this chapter, I became an Australian citizen.

I'm deeply grateful for that chapter: it shaped who I am today.

04 · The turn

The second hardest decision.

But something was missing. I wasn't living my purpose.

That's when I made the second hardest decision of my life: resigning from a stable job in Australia. I know that's hard to imagine for many people. One day, that job had been my impossible too.

So I'll leave you with a question: how much are you willing to do to live your dream?

05 · Today

And The Nutrition State was born.

I was already studying Human Nutrition alongside my engineering job. In March 2026, I resigned to dedicate myself 100% to it. And that's how The Nutrition State was born.

Engineering and nutrition might sound like opposites. Maybe they're not. Engineering taught me to build processes, solve problems and create solutions. Nutrition lets me do that with what I believe in most: helping people live healthier. Because a healthy lifestyle has to fit your routine.

■ A note to you

“You don't have to change everything at once. Start with the next step, at your own pace. Your best state is built, not found.”
